Call Bridge
Call Bridge automatically connects you with a lead over the phone the moment they provide their number in a text conversation. The system calls you first, waits for you to answer, then calls the lead—bridging both of you together into a live call.
No manual dialing. No delay. Just an instant connection.
How It Works
When a lead shares their phone number during a text conversation:
- System calls you at your verified business phone
- You answer — the system announces the lead’s name and context
- System calls the lead from your Twilio number (or your verified Caller ID)
- Both legs connect in a bridged conference call
- Call is logged with duration, status, and cost
Bridging timeout: Up to 60 seconds waiting for you to answer before the call is cancelled.
Call Bridge vs. Voice Agent: Call Bridge connects you to the lead for a live human conversation. The Voice Agent uses AI to handle the call on your behalf. Use Call Bridge when you want to speak directly with every lead who shares their number.
Setting Up Call Bridge
Add Your Phone Number
- Go to Settings → Integrations → Call Bridge
- Enter your phone number (include country code, e.g.
+12125551234) - Click Send code — you’ll receive a verification SMS
- Enter the code and click Verify
Your verified number is saved. The system will call this number whenever a lead shares their phone.
Add a Twilio Phone Number
The system needs a Twilio number to make calls on your behalf.
- Enter an area code (3 digits) and click Search Numbers
- Select a number from the results
- The number is purchased and assigned to your account
Choose an area code local to your service area — leads are more likely to answer calls from recognizable local numbers.
Verify Caller ID (Optional but Recommended)
By default, leads will see the Twilio number when you call them. With Caller ID verification, they see your number instead.
- Click Verify Caller ID
- A 6-digit code appears on screen — note it
- Twilio will call your phone
- Answer and enter the 6-digit code on your phone keypad, then press
# - Verification is detected automatically (usually within 30 seconds)
Once verified, check “Show my number to leads when calling” to enable it.
Leads are significantly more likely to answer a call from a number they recognize. If you have an established business number, verifying it as your Caller ID will improve your answer rate.
Enable Call Bridge
Once both phone numbers are configured, the Enabled toggle appears at the top of the panel. Turn it on.
Call Bridge is now active for this source.
What the Lead Experiences
- Lead sends their phone number in a text conversation
- Within seconds, their phone rings from your Twilio number (or verified Caller ID)
- When they answer, they’re connected directly to you
The lead has no indication the call was initiated automatically — it feels like a normal inbound call from your business.
Configuration Reference
Your Phone Number The business owner’s phone that receives the first call. Verified via SMS during setup.
Twilio Phone Number The number used to make the outbound calls. Purchased from Twilio and assigned to your account. This is the number the lead sees (unless Caller ID is enabled).
Caller ID Verified Whether your business phone number has been verified with Twilio for outbound Caller ID display. Shown with a ✓ badge when active.
Show my number to leads when calling When enabled, the lead’s caller ID shows your verified business number instead of the Twilio number. Requires Caller ID to be verified first.
Enabled toggle Activates or deactivates Call Bridge. Only available after both phone numbers are configured.
Call Logs
Every Call Bridge call is logged automatically. You can view:
- Status — initiated, ringing, answered, completed
- Duration
- Cost
- Recording (if available)

Best Practices
✅ Do This
- Verify Caller ID so leads see your actual number
- Keep your phone nearby — the bridge waits up to 60 seconds for you to answer
- Use a local area code for your Twilio number
- Enable Call Bridge only on sources where you want live calls (not all sources)
❌ Avoid This
- Don’t leave Call Bridge enabled if you’re regularly unavailable to answer — unanswered bridges leave a poor impression
- Don’t use the same Twilio number across multiple integrations that may conflict
Troubleshooting
Call Bridge isn’t triggering
- Confirm the Enabled toggle is on
- Confirm both your phone and Twilio number are saved
- Check that the lead actually provided a phone number in the conversation
Lead isn’t seeing your Caller ID
- Confirm “Show my number to leads when calling” is checked
- Confirm Caller ID status shows Verified (with the ✓ badge)
Bridge disconnected before lead answered
- You must answer your phone within 60 seconds. If you missed it, the call is cancelled and logged as not connected.
